Clash of Clans - Match
In Clash of Clans, Match is where we use our Army (Troops and Spells) to Fight! There's 2 different kind of fight, versus other Players (Multiplayer Match) or versus the Goblin Campaign (Single Player)!In order to access Match, from the Main Screen, by tapping on the Match (Button)!
At the Left Side, you can find Multiplayer match, by tapping on the Find a Match (Button)! However, it require some Golds in order to start search for a random Player to fight!
At the Right Side, you can find the Goblin Campaign for Single Player match! By tapping on an Orange Circle (Button) and then Attack (Button), it will start the Match from the Goblin Campaign!
Multiplayer Match
Fighting versus other Players is determined by your Town Hall level and the number of Trophies! The Town Hall level take a higher influence over Trophies! When searching for a Match, the game only try to find Players who are Offline!If you have a Shield, you will lose some duration on your shield! The 1st match will lose 3 hours, the 2nd will lose 4 hours, the 3nd will lose 5 hours and so on!
When the game have find a Player to Match with! It offer a 30 seconds duration to check the Player base! During that time, you have to determined if you are going to fight that player, skip for another Match or End Battle! You can see how many Trophies are available by defeating that Player and as well as how many Resources that Player possess for Loot by your Army! Although the Resources available to Loot are separated between several building!
By deploying at least 1 Troop or Spell it will start the Fight! The button Next will be gone and the End Battle will switch for Surrender and then the Battle Time will start he's count down! But if you have not deployed anything even after the 30 seconds, you can still click on End Battle and will not receive any penalty!
When you have at least 1 Star, the Surrender (Button) will switch for End Battle! You can now stop the fight whenever you want! Sometime it's good to stop a fight to save your Heroes Hitpoints before they die!
Any Troops or Spells deployed into the Battle Map will be lost after it (even if some troops are still alive), but those who remain into your Deployment Tab will be back into your Army Camp!
There's a possibility to Revenge Players who attack your city, by tapping on the Mail (Button) > Defense (Tab) > Revenge (Button)!
3 Minutes for a Match!
Victory & Defeat
When fighting in a Match, you can either Win or Lose the battle! However, a Victory have benefit over Defeat of course!Victory
In order to get a Victory in a Match, it require to get at least 1 Star on 3! To obtain a Star there's 2 way:
- +1 Star by Destroying your enemy Town Hall!
- +1 Star by Destroying 50% of your enemy Buildings!
The 3rd Star is obtained by Destroying 100% of your enemy base!
When you receive at least 1 Star, it mean a Victory! You will be rewarded some Trophies and gain the Resources Loot you collect during the Match! Also, you will obtain the Trophy Leagues Bonus depending on how many percent you Destroy your enemy base! 70% Destruction give 100% Trophy Leagues Bonus and 50% Destruction give 80% Trophy Leagues Bonus! Finally, the Star you collect will be added to your Star Bonus! It require 5 Stars to collect the Star Bonus and the Bonus is different for each Trophy League!
Defeat
A Defeat mean that you fail to obtain at least 1 Star! In this situation, you will lose some Trophies, but you will still gain the Resources Loot you collect during the Match!
Obtaining Stars
During a Match, there's a possibility to obtain 3 Stars for a perfect Battle:+1 Star by Destroying your enemy Town Hall!
+1 Star by Destroying 50% of your enemy Buildings!
+1 Star by Destroying 100% of your enemy Buildings!
Note: It's impossible to get 2 Stars without destroying the enemy Town Hall!
Trophies
Trophies are obtained in Multiplayer Match with Victory or when Winning a Defensive attack on your city! Losing a Multiplayer Match or losing a Defensive attack on your city, will remove some of your Trophies!The number of Trophy determine the Position in:
- My League
- Top Players (Global and Local)
- Top Clans
- Clan Members List
Trophies is 1 factor to determine who you can attack and who can attack you!

Loot
When fighting in a Match, there's a possibility to Loot Resources: Gold, Elixir and Dark Elixir! However, those Resources are all separated into multiple buildings! Gold Storage, Elixir Storage, Dark Elixir Storage, Gold Mines, Elixir Collector, Dark Elixir Drill, Town Hall and Clan Castle! The amount of Loot available is effected by the Level of the Town Hall and also there's a Loot Penalty which is determined by the difference between your Town Hall Level and the Enemy Town Hall! The Loot Penalty is calculated at the end!Loot Penalty Multiplier
The Loot Penalty Multiplier is determined your Town Hall Level versus your Enemy Town Hall Level! The Loot Penalty Multiplier is calculated after all other calcul! Attacking someone that have a lower Town Hall Level will give less Loot available!

Dark Elixir Drills

A portion of the Resources are taken by each Hitpoints lost (each Hits) on the building!

Town Hall
The percent of Loot available for destroying the Town Hall is equal to one Gold Storage, one Elixir Storage and 1/4 Dark Elixir Storage! However, the Loot is gained only if the Town Hall is completely destroyed! The Storage Capacity of the Town Hall increase by his Level! The Town Hall is considered as a Resources Building! (Goblin can attack for double damage).
Clan Castle - Treasury
The percent of Loot available for destroying the Clan Castle is 3%! The Clan Castle - Treasury it's capped by his own Storage Capacity! This capacity is determined by the Level of the Town Hall and the Clan Perks!
Note: Percent of Loot Penalty is NOT applied!
Star Bonus
In order to obtain the Star Bonus, it require to Win Multiplayer Match and earn Stars! It need a total of 5 Stars to get the Star Bonus! The Bonus is determined by the Trophy League! In order to obtain the Trophy League Bonus, it require to Win Multiplayer Match! The Bonus Maximum is determined by the Trophy League, but it's related with the Total Damage (Destruction of Enemy Base)! Shield
There's 3 kind of Shield available in Clash of Clan! When starting to play Clash of Clans, every new Players receive a 3 Days Shield!Having a Shield mean that's your City cannot be found when other Players try to Find a Match in Multiplayer! Shield come and go away in many different way!
There's also a Guard Shield that can let you attack freely other Players in Multiplayer Match as well as protecting your City from being raid!
Attacking in Clan Wars or in the Single Player Campaign will not remove any Shield Time!
Shield
The Shield, when present, stop other Players to find your City for a Multiplayer Match! Perhaps, the Shield have a Timer and can expire! Shield Time is reduced when Fighting in Multiplayer Match! However, if you are only browsing Match without deploying any troops, it will not count! As more attack are performed under the same Shield, the Time reduce will increase by each Match! Starting by 3 hours, then 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20 and 24 hours! 24 Hours is the maximum amount of decrease Shield Time! The same thing apply to Revenge Match!
When your City have No Shield, a new Shield can be obtained when 2 conditions have been made!
1 - Your City is being attacked in Multiplayer Match by another Player who have at least do a Total Damage of 30%!
And
2 - The Player have deployed at least 1/3 of the Full Army at he's Town Hall Level!
- 30% Total Damage give a 12 hours Shield.
- 60% Total Damage give a 14 hours Shield.
- 90% Total Damage give a 16 hours Shield.
Full Army is defined with the Total troop capacity of Army Camp and Heroes count as 25!
It's possible to obtain a Shield even if your enemy have fail to defeat your city! If your city is destroyed between 30% to 49% Total Damage, without having your Town Hall destroy, so 0 Star earned, and he deployed hes Full Army troop capacity! You will gain a Shield of 12 hours as well as a Victory Defense!
Shield can also be purchased from the Shop by spending Gems!
When the Shield expire, you become with Guard Shield!
Guard Shield
The Guard Shield, when present, allow to participate in Multiplayer Match AND stop other Players to find your City! It's the best Shield!
When the Guard Shield expire, you become with No Shield!
No Shield
The No Shield, mean that your City is no longue under protection and expose to other Players for a Multiplayer Match! However, only if you are Offline!
Also, the Villagers of your City will need a short break after being too long without a Shield. It's called Personal Break!
When the No Shield arrive, the Time until Personal Break start!
Personal Break
The Personal Break is a Break that your Villagers need to rest! After 4 cumulative hours of playing! During that Personal Break, you will be kicked out of the Game for several minutes! During that time, your City can be attacked by other Player for a Multiplayer Match!
If you have a Shield, you can play freely without having the Personal Break Timer! Each time you obtain a Shield, the Personal Break Timer Reset!
If you DON'T have a Shield, you're Personal Break Timer start to count down as long as you play! After 4 hours of continuous play, your timer will reach 0 and you will be Kicked out for the Personal Break!
Resetting the Personal Break Time can be done by:
- You are Offline for 15 minutes without being attacked. It's more like 20 Minutes, because it need 5 Minutes to completely be Logged Out!
- You have been kicked out for 6 Minutes (Personal Break) and during that 6 Minutes your didn't get a Shield! You will get a 30 Minutes Guard Shield! However, the Timer of the Guard Shield is not based on the Trophy League! It's 30 Minutes! After that 30 Minutes under Guard Shield, you will be kicked out for another 6 Minutes (Personal Break)!
If you repeat 2 extra times the 6 Minutes OFF & 30 Minutes IN, the Personal Break Timer will be reset!
So:
- 4 constant Hours of playing = 6 Minutes Personal Break,
- coming back without being attacked = 30 Minutes Guard Shield and then 6 Minutes Personal Break,
- again coming back without being attacked = 30 Minutes Guard Shield and then 6 Minute Personal Break,
- finally coming back without being attacked = Guard Shield depending on your current Trophy League and Personal Break is now Reset to 4 Hours!
Message when your City is under Personal Break: "Villagers need a short break due to being too long without Shield."
